This is our basic horse shelter (loafing shed) kit, simple to build, and made to last a lifetime. This solid structure has 4x6 posts with steel strap anchors and pressure treated wood, only where it matters, where it sits on the earth. The walls are stacked 2x8s in wood channels, making it easy to build. The 2x6 rafters fit in between pre-installed blocks, so you can't miss, topped by 2x4 purlins 2 ft. on center, and topped with galvanized delta rib metal roof with pre-drilled holes for metal roof fastening screws, and trimmed out with drip edge, giving it a clean finished transition.. A 3 ft. front eve gives even more protection from the elements. With detailed drawings and step by step instructions, even a first time builder can look like a pro. Includes all parts and hardware, except the concrete for the holes. Basic Kit price is $4000. Modifications can enclose this open design into two 12'x12' stalls with gate or custom doors. This design can also be lengthened to 3 or more stalls very simply. The perfect solution, better than light weight pipe structures, and more affordable than any contractor-built barn.
